What is a Health Coach?
Someone who helps you select and achieve your goals through encouragement, resources and having to be accountable to someone on a regular bases.
According to Laura Whitworth and others (other professionals), In Co-Active Coaching, the client is the primary focus of the process and many skills are used to assist the client (in meeting) to meet their goal(s) over a period of time.
The client sets the agenda and the client is naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.
According to a Yale Study, “coaching is a highly effective and superior strategy in reducing total cholesterol and other coronary risk factors such as blood pressure, as compared to patients who were prescribed medication but not coached".
